Mrs. A.M.C.C. (Annemarie) Verblackt, partner
Biography:
Mrs. Verblackt was born and raised in Holland. She finished law school in Maastricht, in the South of Holland and started her career as an attorney in Venlo, Holland, where she was admitted to the bar on May 27, 1999. In 2002 Mrs. Verblackt visited Aruba for vacation and immediately fell in love with its it’s people and it’s culture and took the decision to move to our beautifull island, where she was admitted to the bar on December 16, 2002. Since then Mrs. Verblackt has worked as an attorney at Brown Lawyers and as a civil notarial lawyer at Notariaat Tjon Ajong.

As an attorney Mrs. Verblackt has gathered experience in a wide range of cases, covering the areas of civil-, administrative- and criminal law. She graduated on Labour Law and still has a slight preference towards this area. In her work as a civil notarial lawyer, she also specialized in corporate law, property- and real estate law and family law.

Mr. M.G.A. (Milko) Baiz, partner
Biography:
Mr. Baiz was born and raised in Aruba. Mr. Baiz graduated in 1993 from the Dutch Police Academy (Nederlandse Politie Academie) in Apeldoorn, Netherlands and worked for 5 years in the Aruba Police Force (Korps Politie Aruba) as a lieutenant (inspecteur). Thereafter Mr. Baiz was appointed as director of the Department of Public Transportation, where he worked for five years. Mr. Baiz graduated in 2001 from the University of Aruba (Universiteit van Aruba) and was admitted to the bar of the Joint Court of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba in October 2003. Mr. Baiz worked from October - November 2003 at the Coutinho & Co Law Offices and from December 2003 – June 2009 at Gomez & Bikker Law Offices in Aruba.

As an attorney Mr. Baiz has gathered experience in a wide range of cases, covering the areas of civil-, administrative- and criminal law. He graduated on Administrative Law and has been keeping up to date with developments in this area of practice.
Throughout his career as an attorney, he specialized in corporate law, property- and real estate law, construction law, civil liability law, insurance law and immigration law. Mr. Baiz is currently developing a practice in financial and commodities transaction advise.
